What does it mean by "order by 'relevance'?" in Google Books?

In Google Books, I searched for the novel "The Scarlet Letter." In the search bar on the left column, I typed in a word. And then a yellow bar shows up that says: "Order by: relevance |or pages." What does relevance mean here? Does it mean, more importance, more searched, or what? ty. =D =D

  1. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Relevance
  2. It means it would also search for other books with a similar title, because the search would be counting up "relevant" titles. So, it would, for example, bring up other books with the word "Scarlet" or "Letter" in them. Order by pages, I guess you would type in the amount of pages the book you're looking for has and it would bring up books with that amount of pages.
