citation???

what do i do if when doing the citations one of my references does not have a publishing date, and another reference does not have the place where it was published...please i need help bad...

  1. Put down all the information you have. That's all you can do.
  2. After you have searched and searched and still can't find what you need, all you can do is cite what you do know. When it comes to citing the information you don't know, leave it out. You might considering attaching a brief explanation for your teacher as to why it's left out if the teacher is notorious for being strict on citations.
  3. you dont have to have a date you can how ever quote the source of your reference Just reproduce the reference as it is and try googling and finding better citations if you can or have the original paper printed just in case the assessor requests it! BTW is it for a thesis?? what does your guide/tutor say? it is worth your while, getting them on your side
